Top 5 Most Desired DLC Fighters for EA Sports UFC

EA Sports UFC is finally here, and going by VGChartz, the game appears to be selling very well. In its first week of release, the game has already sold over 440,000 units worldwide. However, at launch the game did not even have a roster that of that the initial roster size of the previous UFC game, UFC Undisputed 3. There are some crucial fighters missing from the game, and hopefully they will be added soon via downloadable content releases. Here are the top 5 fighters I would like to play in the game. For this list I focused on active roster fighters who are in the top or close to the top of their respective weight classes:

HONORABLE MENTION: Hector Lombard

Hector Lombard

Hector Lombard is a good fighter, and he just missed making it into my top 5. However, his performances have been remarkably inconsistent as of late; hence, the reason he is not in the top 5 picks.

5. Charles Oliveira

Charles Oliveira, aka Charles do Bronx, is fast becoming one of my favorite fighters to watch in the Octagon. Oliveira is a submission ace and just broke into the UFC’s official Top 15 rankings at featherweight. He was the first fighter in UFC history to stop a fight with the calf slicer submission.

4. Tyron Woodley

Like it or not, Tyron Woodley is a big player in the UFC welterweight division right now. He is coming off a loss to Rory MacDonald, but he is still ranked in the UFC’s Top 5 of the welterweight division. Woodley needs a digital avatar in this game.

3. Dong Hyun Kim

Dong Hyun Kim, aka Stun Gun, is probably the dark horse of UFC’s welterweight division at the moment. He has been on an incredible tear as of late and is looking like a completely different fighter. He is now showcasing a lot more aggression and knockout power. Kim needs to be put into this game via DLC ASAP.

2. Matt Brown

I am flabbergasted that “The Immortal” one himself, Matt Brown, did not make it into the initial roster lineup. Hopefully EA Sports corrects this soon with a DLC release. Brown is currently on an incredible winning streak, having won his last seven fights in the UFC. This is not a very new development either. He is the only UFC fighter who won four fights in the Octagon in 2012.

1. TJ Dillashaw

Where is the love for the current reigning UFC bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw? Granted, Dillashaw recently won the title, but he should be the first guy on EA Sports’ list to add to the game via DLC.
