Monster Hunter Wilds lets players enjoy online crossplay on all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The Nintendo Switch 2 version is set to release on December 4, 2026, and Capcom confirmed it will include crossplay. However, that version hasn’t launched yet. Currently, cross-progression isn’t available on the existing platforms.

Does Monster Hunter Wilds have cross-progression?
No. According to GameSpot, Capcom said Wilds will not support cross-save progression, and DLC, story progress and character data stay locked to the platform where a player first starts. One third-party site claims cross-progression is enabled, but this conflicts with Capcom's stated position and has not been officially confirmed. Cross-progression for the Switch 2 version has not been officially confirmed.
How to turn crossplay on or off in Monster Hunter Wilds
- From the title screen, open Options.
- Go to Game Settings.
- Select Crossplay and choose Enable or Disable.
- Set this before selecting save data and starting the game, because it cannot be changed from the in-game Options menu afterward.
