What changed in 1.4.5.7
New content
- Adds items including Daybloom Staff, Glacier Fang, Mystic Bloom, Lightning Strike, Arc Surge, Silver Bracer and Snake Band.
- Adds Kinship Peach and Little Kinship Peach, which can empower all pals.
- Adds Giant Tiki and Guide To Old Style Parkour, which restores some movement techniques removed in 1.4.5.
- Gem staves are reworked, with a unique shot effect per gem and a damage boost when matched with a gem robe.
- Adds two new secret seeds.
Quality of life
- Loadout equipment sharing is added. Favorite any equipment to share it between loadouts.
- Dead players can skip the respawn timer when there is no great danger nearby.
- Glowsticks, Flares and Bombs can be picked up by right-clicking them, and Sentries can be dismissed the same way.
- Locked chests can be opened by using the key on them with the cursor.
- A new Forward Zoom keybinding option sets how the Sniper Rifle/Scope zoom works.
- The Distressed Pal event is 25% more common and guarantees a pal you have not yet obtained.
Melee balance
- Chlorophyte Saber is reworked into a stabbing weapon with autoswing, and its damage rises from 57 to 80.
- Chlorophyte Claymore is reworked to slam the ground and release spore clouds.
- Paladin's Hammer is reworked to swing before it is thrown, with reduced range.
- Kraken damage rises from 95 to 120, and it now drops from Duke Fishron instead of the hardmode dungeon.
- Format:C critical strikes now deal 250% damage and it gains 20% critical strike chance.
- Slime Spear damage rises from 9 to 12 in non-skyblock worlds.
- All Boomerangs fly back faster depending on melee attack speed.
Ranged and magic balance
- All Rocket Weapons now deal a flat 60 self damage.
- Marrow damage drops from 53 to 40, and its arrows split into two bone shards.
- Ale Tosser is ranged again and gains bonuses while Tipsy.
- Venom Bullet and Venom Arrow now inflict the new Potent Venom in addition to Acid Venom.
- Shroomite Armor stealth no longer stops when using items, and the maximum ranged damage bonus drops from 60% to 50%.
- Mana is reworked: the regeneration delay is removed and mana regenerates at 5% of its normal rate while attacking.
- Mana weapons can be used without enough mana, at 40% attack speed.
Fixes and multiplayer
- Fixed the Aether biome sometimes generating without Shimmer.
- You can once again stand on the bottom of the world in non-Skyblock worlds.
- Fixed a malicious packet exploit.
- Fixed hotkey dashes not being synced, and player direction changes are now synced properly.
- Improved how NPCs handle damage on high latency servers, reducing desyncs.
- Fixed several issues that could cause updating a Workshop item to publish it as a new entry.
