Satisfactory Patch Notes: Latest Update (Oct 12, 2026)

Nick GuliNick Guli|

The newest Satisfactory update is “1.2 Update Fixes v1.2.4.1”, which was shared on Steam on Oct 12, 2026. This update brings back Audio Routing, allowing Metasound to function by default once more. This change should resolve issues with audio mods that ceased to work after the last patch. Additionally, it resets Engine.ini to its original state. The update also addresses several crashes, fixes a console audio freeze, and corrects a bug that caused Signs to appear blank upon loading.

What changed in 1.2.4.1

Audio and modding

  • Audio Routing is re-enabled so Metasound works by default again, which should fix audio related mods broken since the previous patch.
  • The internal Wwise version is updated to 2025.1.6, made in preparation for future development.
  • The developers say they will not disable Metasound again, since many mods use it.
  • Engine.ini is restored to its original status to prevent potential issues with versions created in the previous patch.

Bug fixes

  • Fixes a case where loading into a save wiped any Signs around a Pioneer and set them blank.
  • Fixes an Audio/Wwise related freeze on Consoles.
  • Fixes a crash when aiming at a Conveyor Belt with multiple Conveyor Throughput Monitors attached, one recently dismantled.
  • Fixes a crash on Dedicated Server when placing a Conveyor Throughput Monitor on a Conveyor Belt.
  • Fixes an Audio related crash when exiting the game (UFGFAnimInstanceFactory::AudioEventCallback).
