Split Fiction allows crossplay among PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, as stated by EA. The Friend’s Pass also enables players on different platforms to join in, meaning just one person needs to own the game. However, EA hasn’t officially confirmed cross-progression yet.

Does Split Fiction have cross-progression?
Not confirmed yet. Cross-progression has not been officially confirmed by EA or Hazelight. Sportskeeda reported no mention of it and noted that Hazelight's earlier games did not have it. Some third-party sites say it is not supported, and one says it is partial. These claims conflict and no official source backs them. EA states that progress made in the Friend's Pass carries over to the full game on the same platform if the player buys it later. Local split-screen is same-platform only, and online play uses crossplay.
How to turn crossplay on or off in Split Fiction
- Sign in to an EA account from within Split Fiction on every platform.
- On PlayStation 5, open the game's Options menu and make sure Cross-Play is enabled.
- On Xbox Series X|S, check the account's privacy settings and allow crossplay.
- Choose to play online and select the EA Friends List option when inviting.
- Add the friend's EA account to the EA Friends List from inside the game, then send the invite.
