Lords of the Fallen (2023) allows crossplay among PC users (Steam, Epic, and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The developer’s co-op FAQ mentions that crossplay functions via password matchmaking in Beckon Lampbearer, Join Session, and Slaughter Lampbearer (PvP invasions). Initially, reports indicated PS5 and Xbox players couldn’t connect. However, Version 2.0 (April 2025) later confirmed crossplay across all platforms. Still, Explosion hasn’t found any updates post-2.0 addressing the earlier console-to-console restrictions.

Does Lords of the Fallen have cross-progression?

No. Cross-progression and cross-save were not offered at launch. Reporting based on the developers said this was because it would have required a Hexworks account. A later addition has not been officially confirmed. Co-op sessions have shared progression modes, but these apply only inside a session and do not move a save between platforms.

How to turn crossplay on or off in Lords of the Fallen

1. Open Settings and go to the Multiplayer tab (it can also be reached from any active Vestige).
2. Turn on Online mode. Offline mode disables all online features, including co-op and PvP.
3. Turn on Allow Crossplay.
4. Set the same session password on both players' games, using the Multiplayer settings or the Vestige menu.
5. At a Vestige, one player chooses Beckon Lampbearer and the other chooses Join Session. For Shared Progression co-op, use Join Session (Shared Progression).
