Is Call of Duty Warzone Cross Platform? Crossplay and Cross-Progression (2026)

Warzone is still going strong on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. It features crossplay between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. However, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are being phased out, and Warzone Mobile is no longer available. As a result, players on those two systems can’t join in on the current crossplay.

Does Call of Duty Warzone have cross-progression?
Yes. Progression is tied to an Activision account. Equipment, unlocks and levels transfer between PC and consoles. Starting with Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, Warzone will integrate Modern Warfare 4 content and seasonal progression. Players moving from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S can continue using their existing progress. Warzone Mobile progress can no longer be used because that game is offline.
How to turn crossplay on or off in Call of Duty Warzone
- PlayStation 5: Open Warzone, press Options, then go to Settings.
- Select the Account & Network tab and find the Crossplay option.
- Set it to On, On (Consoles Only) or Off. Warzone Ranked Play has its own setting. Reports say these options sit in the Network Settings menu. Exact menu names may differ by season.
- Xbox Series X|S: Open the Xbox Settings, go to General, then Online Safety & Family.
- Select Privacy & Online Safety, then Xbox Privacy, then View Details & Customize.
- Open Communication & Multiplayer, find the cross-network play option and set it to Block. This applies to all Xbox Live multiplayer games, not only Warzone.
- PC: Older reports say there is no in-game option to turn crossplay off. Current PC options have not been officially confirmed.

Is Call of Duty Warzone cross platform?
Yes. Warzone continues on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X. It offers crossplay across PC, PlayStation and Xbox systems. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are being retired, and Warzone Mobile no longer exists, so those two groups are not part of current crossplay.
Can PC and PlayStation 5 players play Warzone together?
Yes. Crossplay is on by default across PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Console players can restrict matchmaking to consoles only.
Can Xbox and PlayStation players play Warzone together?
Yes. Both are part of the same crossplay pool. Console players who want to avoid PC players can pick the On (Consoles Only) setting, as described in the Season 3 patch notes.
Is Warzone still playable on PS4 and Xbox One?
For now, only for players who already have it installed. Players can keep playing until Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 arrives. After that, Warzone continues on PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X|S only.
Is Warzone on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2?
No Switch version has been listed. A Switch 2 version of Warzone has not been officially confirmed, although Modern Warfare 4 is planned for Switch 2.
Does Warzone Mobile still have crossplay?
No. The Warzone Mobile servers went offline on April 17, 2026. Before that, it did not support crossplay with console or PC players.
