Enshrouded Patch Notes: Latest Update (Sep 23, 2026)

What changed in 1.0
Mage spells
- 9 new spells are added: Mana Drain, Entangle, Pillar of Flames, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, and Summon Fire, Ice and Shock Totem.
- Summon Hollow Skeleton is also new. Summons are a new spell category.
- Blizzard and Ball Lightning are area of effect spells for groups of enemies.
- Mana Drain saps a fixed amount of mana per second from enemies and adds it to your pool.
- There are now 22 tier 7 spell versions, the Eternal versions, which do not consume spell ammo.
- Eternal spells can be upgraded like weapons and armor, with unique perks such as reduced mana cost.
- Spell mana costs and casting times are reworked to balance damage output and usability.
Wands and targeting
- Wands get a heavy attack that pierces enemies and interrupts attacks on weaker enemies.
- Aerial Wand Attack can be used in mid-air and is an area of effect attack for wands.
- Wand Evasion Attack has wider, piercing projectiles.
- Soft and hard lock targeting are improved, with separate settings for ranged and melee weapons.
- Targeting now prioritizes the center of the screen and enemies closer to you.
- Wands can now target explosive barrels.
- Numerous fixes are included for switching between wand and staff during combat.
Skills and archers
- New mage skills: Advanced Necromancy, Totem Mastery, and Blast and Cast.
- Blast and Cast raises the base damage of your next staff attack by 50% within 10 seconds of a wand critical strike.
- New archer skills: Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct.
- Some skills are moved, cost less or have buffed effects, based on community feedback.
- New aim assist options for ranged combat are in the settings, on by default for controller and off for mouse and keyboard.
- The skill tree is reset, so players need to reinvest their points.
Arrows, enemies and progression
- Eternal arrows are now upgradeable with perks.
- New Eternal arrows: Fire, Shock and Bone.
- All enemy factions, such as the Fell and Scavengers, get new variants, including heavy and elite ones.
- Player movement gets additional animation and movement fixes.
- The max player level cap is now 50, and the equipment cap is level 55.
