Elden Ring Patch Notes: Latest Update (Aug 27, 2026)

Tarnished Pack content
- Idus Knight and Heavy Knight are added as starting classes, selectable during character creation.
- New weapons are added that can be bought from merchants or found in the Lands Between.
- Three Spectral Steed Attire sets change Torrent's appearance: Tree Sentinel, Silver of Caria and Funereal Night.
- Tree Sentinel attire is found in Stormveil Castle, Silver of Caria in Liurnia of the Lakes, and Funereal Night in Altus Plateau.
- After obtaining any attire, the Site of Grace menu gains an option to change Torrent's appearance.
- An NPC invasion event is added in Caelid.
- An NPC invasion event is added in Leyndell, Royal Capital. It does not occur after the area becomes Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
- Steam release time: Friday, August 28 at 7:00 JST | 00:00 CEST | 15:00 PDT.
Weapon balance
- Smithscript Dagger and Rellana's Twin Blades gain increased critical hit power.
- Smithscript Axe, Smithscript Spear and Spear of the Impaler use less stamina and deal more damage on weapon-throwing attacks.
- Carian Sorcery Sword's Intelligence scaling now increases the attack power of all damage types.
- Golem Fist has a longer range on its fist-launching heavy attack.
- Firespark, Lightning, Chilling, Frenzyflame and Deadly Poison Perfume Bottles gain increased attack power.
- Many shields gain increased guard boost, and some also weigh less. Haligtree Crest Greatshield only weighs less.
- Rakshasa's Great Katana has a longer delay before a right-hand attack after a left-hand attack with it.
Skills, sorceries and incantations
- Parry has improved performance and shorter recovery with Daggers, Curved Swords or Small Shields.
- Storm Wall no longer consumes FP and has improved parry performance.
- Thops's Barrier has improved parry performance.
- Founding Rain of Stars and Carian Retaliation have increased power.
- Meteorite and Meteorite of Astel have reduced casting time.
- Gravitational Missile's projectile no longer explodes immediately on hitting terrain such as the ground or a wall.
- Feather of the Divine Bird and Rain of Fire have increased power.
- O, Flame! has an expanded attack range.
PvP-exclusive balance
- Rakshasa's Great Katana: damage taken from other players' attacks while attacking is increased.
- Rugalea's Roar has reduced power against other players.
- Rotten Breath and Ekzykes's Decay cause a shorter hit-reaction immobilization time for other players.
Bug fixes
- Great Katana critical hits no longer deal lower-than-expected power against large enemies.
- Great Katana jumping attacks can no longer be parried.
- PC: Mouse camera control during NPC dialogue now works with keyboard and mouse.
- PC: Reset in Keyboard/Mouse Settings now restores various settings to their defaults.
