Elden Ring Nightreign Patch Notes: Latest Update (Jan 16, 2026)
The latest Elden Ring Nightreign update is “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN – PATCH NOTES VERSION 1.03.2”, which was posted on Steam on January 16, 2026. What changed in 1.03.2
Nightfarers adjustments
- Duchess: the visibility of the phantom from the skill "Restage" is adjusted.
- Increased damage negation for physical and various elemental attacks, and increased Guard Boost when guarding, for one Nightfarer.
- Fighter's Resolve gains an attack power increase for a certain period when HP is significantly reduced.
- Totem Stela Ultimate Art has an expanded attack range.
- Revenant: Immortal March increases the attack power of special attacks by active summoned spirits.
- Spirits from "Summon Spirit" gain attack power and damage negation by Expedition depth level in Deep of Night.
- Cursed Sword skill: critical hit power, Guard Boost and deflection stagger damage increase, and deflection stamina loss is reduced.
- Aspects of the Crucible: Beast increases attack power, except for "Roar", and scales with depth level in Deep of Night.
Relic adjustments
- Burn damage from the Art activation fire spread relic effect now increases the art gauge.
- The effects of several guard-related relics are increased, including HP recovery from successful guarding and attention drawing.
- The Totem Stela relics for HP recovery on defeat and improved poise are increased.
- The relic "Character Skill Boosts Attack but Attacking Drains HP" is renamed to "Character Skill Boosts Attack but Lowers Damage Negation While Attacking", with a higher attack boost.
- "Successive Attacks Boost Attack Power" is decreased.
- Bow relic effects "Improved Bow Attack Power" and "Improved Attack Power with 3+ Bows Equipped" are decreased to fix a Patch 1.03 error.
Equipment, sorceries and incantations
- Distance drop-off now applies to status ailment buildup, Ultimate Art gauge charging and near-death gauge depletion when attacking downed allies.
- The Rotten Crystal Staff's primary sorcery changes from "Shattering Crystal" to "Crystal Release."
- FP consumption increases for the "Shattering Crystal" sorcery and the "Beast Claw" incantation.
- The Primal Glintstone Blade talisman has a reduced "Reduced Maximum HP" effect.
- The Crucible Feather Talisman has a reduced "Impaired Damage Negation" effect.
- The visibility of effects of some sorceries and incantations is adjusted.
Field adjustments
- "Fire Pots" and "Throwing Knives" now have a maximum purchase amount in shops.
- More Night Invaders appear during cataclysms at the "Marsh" Key location.
- Marsh and Blacksmith Village give more runes and a higher chance of rare items in some chests.
- Some Blacksmith Village enemies deal less attack power in The Deep of Night.
- Tricephalos Raid: continuous damage to players is decreased, and Beast's Hunt is stronger.
- Fissure in the Fog Raid: hail damage is decreased in Deep of Night mode.
- Balancers Raid: the attack power boost for Charmed enemies is decreased.
- Appearance rates of DLC bosses, key locations and Shifting Earth in The Deep of Night are adjusted.
Bug fixes and improvements
- Icons and descriptions now show in the status menu for the full HP passive effects and the weapon switching relic effect.
- Lost DLC costumes and unique relics are fixed and can be re-acquired at the Roundtable Hold.
- Fixed multiple copies of "The Will of the Balancers" being obtainable; only one equipped copy activates.
- Many fixes make Improved Skill Attack Power and Improved Melee Attack Power apply to the listed weapon arts and attacks.
- Fixed Executor's Aspects of the Crucible: Beast causing unintended damage, including when linked with Scholar's Communion.
- Fixed several Balancers boss and Raid issues, including battles not progressing and HP reduced from the start in multiplayer.
- Fixed the game not progressing if the session host left right after embarking on an Expedition.
- Corrected some text and fixed rendering and enemy behavior bugs.
