Albion Online Patch Notes: Latest Update (Sep 23, 2026)

The newest Albion Online update is “Changelog: Dragonfire Patch 2”, which appeared on Steam on September 23, 2026. Loot is up across the Ancient Lands, Dragon Sanctuary, and during Outlands Dragon Attacks. The orange-zone Ancient Lands now feature Item Freeze, which prevents items from dropping on death. They’ve also adjusted Maeve’s fight pacing and abilities, making the Lingering Dragon Spirit less powerful. Statues of the Season 33 winners now grace Conqueror’s Hall.

What changed in Dragonfire Patch 2

Loot adjustments

• Medium Ancient Lands chests give roughly 50% more non-Drake loot.
• Large Ancient Lands chests give roughly 140% more base loot.
• Dragon Sanctuary final chest Drake Egg chance is up by roughly 400%.
• Dragon Sanctuary base chest loot is up by 100% on average.
• Outlands Dragon Attacks base chest loot is approximately doubled.
• Fame now comes with the Might payout instead of Tomes of Insight, so all participants get it.
• New Dragon item drop chances are unchanged.

Ancient Lands

• Orange-zone Ancient Lands add Item Freeze: items in inventory on portal entry are not dropped on death.
• Items picked up inside the Ancient Lands are not frozen and drop on death.
• Island chests, except the center island, unlock by completing the island quest.
• Giants' aggro range falls from 11m to 8m.
• Spirit Weaver's Drowsy Essence sleep duration falls from 4s to 2s.
• A new Bleedout revival animation is added.

Dragon Sanctuary

• Maeve's Storm Spire appears at 60% Health and Rock Spike at 80%. Double Rock Spike appears at 40%.
• Realm Rift max stacks rise from 5 to 15, and debuff duration falls from 3000s to 100s.
• Boulder Stomp initial damage falls from 1000 to 800 and now applies a stacking damage debuff.
• Primal Dragon Flame true damage falls from 1250 to 900, and normal damage rises from 750 to 1250.
• Maeve's pursuit range falls from 50m to 40m.
• Maeve can no longer be CC'd before the fight, and some of her spells are no longer reflectable.
• Lingering Dragon Spirit mob damage and defense per stack fall from 33% to 20%.
• Azaryon now enrages if players make him get stuck or repeat actions too often.

Combat balance

• Internal Bleeding damage-over-time can no longer be reflected.
• Holy Flash healing falls from 117 to 106.
• Rising Blow reduces enemies' crowd-control resistance by 15% for 4s.
• Spectral Trident impact damage rises from 191.65 to 220, and attack speed buff falls from 85% to 75%.
• Wild Onslaught Fear duration rises from 1s to 1.2s.
• Knight Helmet Displacement Immunity lasts 7s instead of 6s.
• Wings of Fire gets a max. energy cost of 10%.
• Thorn Growth no longer triggers auto-attack cooldown after casting.

Other changes and fixes

• Loadouts can be shared outside the game client and created from the clipboard.
• Season 33 winners Upside, Contingent and I The Flying Dutchman I get statues in Conqueror's Hall.
• Tracking now shows a minimap ping when near the target.
• Reawaken can no longer be used on enemy players.
• Ancient Lands kills no longer register as both Kills and Knockdowns in the stats UI.
• Several Dragon attacks can no longer be interrupted by spells or delayed by damage.
• Ancient Lands portals can now be found in deep Roads of Avalon regions.
• Damage numbers now display on some Android devices at high resolution.
