Is Hades Cross Platform? Crossplay Guide 2026

Marcus WebbMarcus Webb|

No, Hades isn’t cross-platform. This single-player roguelike has no multiplayer features, so crossplay isn’t applicable — there’s simply no one to team up with across platforms.

Hades Cross-Platform Status Explained

Supergiant Games developed Hades, which you can find on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. With about 2,582 active players at any moment, it’s still popular. However, its design is strictly solo. There aren’t any co-op modes, competitive modes, or shared online sessions. Crossplay needs multiplayer, and Hades lacks that.

If you were looking to join a friend on another platform, that option isn’t available. Plus, there’s no roadmap for future multiplayer features, so this likely won’t change.

Cross-Save: The One Cross-Platform Feature That Exists

While crossplay isn’t an option, Hades does provide limited cross-save functionality — but only for two specific platforms:

  • PC and Nintendo Switch can share save data
  • PlayStation and Xbox platforms are not included in cross-save support

This means if you play on PC and also have a Nintendo Switch, you can transfer your progress between those versions. That’s the extent of cross-platform features in Hades. There’s no cross-save between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Platform Crossplay Compatibility Table

Platform Crossplay Supported Cross-Save Supported
PC No (Single-player only) Yes — with Nintendo Switch only
Nintendo Switch No (Single-player only) Yes — with PC only
PlayStation 4 No (Single-player only) No
PlayStation 5 No (Single-player only) No
Xbox One No (Single-player only) No
Xbox Series S/X No (Single-player only) No

Does Hades Have Any Multiplayer at All?

No. Hades was designed as a single-player experience from the start. You take on the role of Zagreus, Hades’ son, trying to escape the Underworld through a series of procedurally generated runs. Everything about the game — combat, progression, and story — is meant for one player. Supergiant Games hasn’t added multiplayer in any update since the full release, and there’s no indication that will change.

Can I play Hades with friends on different platforms?

No. Hades lacks any multiplayer mode, so you can’t play with friends, whether on the same platform or different ones. It’s strictly single-player.

Does Hades support cross-save between PlayStation and Xbox?

No. Cross-save in Hades is only available between PC and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation and Xbox don’t have cross-save support with any other platforms.

Will Hades ever get crossplay or multiplayer support?

As of 2026, Supergiant Games hasn’t announced any plans for multiplayer or crossplay features in Hades. The sequel, Hades II, is currently in development, but there’s no official word on multiplayer plans for either game.
