While the main reason people bought Mass Effect 3 was for the game’s excellently made single-player narrative, it’s also worth noting that the game does have a multiplayer component this time around – and it’s actually quite good!
Well, BioWare hasn’t forgotten about this and they’re staging a bonus XP (EXP) event throughout the whole weekend called N7 Bounty Weekend: Operation Fortress. Starting today at 5 PM Pacific until 5 AM Monday, players can expect a 25% XP boost when playing multiplayer. This will apply to all maps, enemy types and challenges. So, don’t worry low-level bronze players, BioWare hasn’t forgotten about you lot.
So for those who want to “promote” their multiplayer characters can do so this coming weekend with the knowledge that they’ll reach level 20 in just a few hours’ time. For those who don’t play the game’s multiplayer that much, “promoting” a character will reset their level to zero, this is handy for those who want to “re-spec” their respective characters or those who just want to up their overall N7 rating.
This sounds good and all, I just hope BioWare releases new enemy types or boosters packs soon. While I do think the game’s fun, a little more map and enemy variety wouldn’t hurt either.
