EA revealed a new gameplay demo of Army of Two: Devil’s Cartel during a press conference at GamesCom. The third game of the series will be arriving March next year.
According to the team behind the game, Devil’s Cartel will be more intense and mature compared to the previous Army of Two titles.
Devil’s Cartel will be set in Mexico and involve two new characters, Alpha and Bravo who are operatives working for Tactical Worldwide Operations. Alpha and Bravo will be thrown into a deadly war concerning Mexican drug cartel.
The brand new footage shows the pair working their way through rundown building while taking down as many enemies as they can. There is a whole heap of environmental destruction happening, with walls and doors being blown apart amongst the gun fire. Alpha and Bravo work their way to the roof where a helicopter is hovering above. The pair succeeds in taking down the chopper with some quick thinking and awesome skills.
The gameplay was entirely split screen to showcase the game’s new Overkill mode. This mode allows players for a short time to unleash massive destruction on the world around Alpha and Bravo, most importantly on the enemies. This was shown playing co-operatively because that is when it works at its best, and most destructive.
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is coming out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 March 2013. You can pre-order the game as well as check out heaps more about it at www.armyoftwo.com
