EA Sports has announced the Madden NFL 13 demo will be available August 14, two weeks before the actual game’s release.
The demo will include all of the gameplay features that will be available in the full release. Including total pass control, to accurately place the ball anywhere on the field. There will also be use of the Kinect for Xbox 360 users, which will allow players to control certain aspects of the game with their voice.
The demo will feature two match-ups the first between the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks, and the second will be a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers.
Players of the demo will be able to check out the redesigned pregame presentation, as well as a full game of four five-minute quarters with commentary from Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.
Madden claims no tackles will look the same this year, so the demo gives players a chance to put this claim to the test. The ‘Infinity Engine’ will help demonstrate how the game handles real-time collisions.
The most exciting thing about this demo is that EA Sports have stated they will be giving away free copies of the full release. For the chance to win you will need to play one of the demo games and tweet your results with the hashtag #Madden13Demo. There will be one lucky winner every day until the full release game comes out.
Madden NFL 13 designers say this is “the most complete overhaul the series has seen in a generation.”
The full release of Madden NFL 13 will launch on August 28 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PlayStation Vita.
