A new PlayStation 4 firmware update should be launching later next week, bringing support for more headsets as well as a few other features.
According to Play Asia and Best Buy, Sony will release a new Gold Wireless Stereo Headset which looks like will be the successor of the PULSE lineup of headsets currently available. The item description clearly states that the Gold Wireless Stereo Headset will work on PlayStation 4 following update 1.6, which has yet to be released.
Sony has yet to announce the release date for the next update so nothing is set in stone yet. We’ll let you know as soon as something new comes in the matter.
The PlayStation 4 console was launched lacking support for their own PULSE headsets. Several rumors stated that a new firmware update will bring in support for these headsets but nothing has yet materialized. Let’s hope next week is really the release week for the new PlayStation 4 firmware update.
The PlayStation 4 console has been released in November in North America and Europe and it’s been a truly smashing success, with gamers having difficulty finding the console in stores. The console will be released next month in Japan and we can be sure that the Japanese launch will be just as successful as the North America and European ones.
