Sony has shown off quite a few new games this year PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Beyond: Two Souls, God of War Ascension, and the accessory everyone one is waiting for Wonderbook. However, according to the list of games that will be present at Gamescom this year, Sony intends to show off at least two more unannounced titles.
Gamescom takes place later this year in Cologne, Germany and according to PlayStation Universe it “has received details on Sony’s line-up for Gamescom”. This lineup according to PlayStation Universe “will indeed showcase two previously unannounced games”. However, not much else is known about the games other than “one of the games is from a ‘Japan Studio,’ while the other is apparently a new ‘Move IP’.”
It is also not know if Sony will be demoing the games or if just a few quick trailers will be shown. We don’t even know if these game will be on the PS3 or the PS Vita.
Although the exciting thing is, that these are unannounced titles meaning that these won’t be titles that we have already seen before. These will be brand new games that we have never heard of before; or since one of them is from a Japanese studio it may be the announcement of a western release for a game like Monster Hunter for the Vita.
Personally I would love another PS3 game announcement, but I am leaning towards the game being for the PS Vita. People have been clamoring for more Vita games and I suspect Sony is ready to deliver. Although I would love for an official announcement from Atlus (Japanese Studio) that Persona 5 will be released on the PS3 soon. I have been waiting for another Shin Megami Persona game since I finished Persona 4 way back in 2008.
I am surprised they are having another major announcement for the PS Move, considering they seem to have abandoned the peripheral for about a year now. What game from a Japanese studio would you like to see announced at Gamescom? Do you want another major PS3 title announced or would you love a PS Vita game announcement?
