A new batch of screenshots is now available for Drakengard 3, showcasing the aerial combat features found in the game.
As all fans of the series surely already know, dragons play a major part in the game’s overall experience. In the new screenshots, Zero and Mikhail team up to fight a variety of enemies in the skies. Among the features shown is a multi-target lock-on that will surely be used to activate some kind of special attack.
Drakengard 3 is the third entry of the action role-playing game series originally developed by Cavia and published by Square-Enix.
Even though the new game is not being developed by Cavia, many of the key people behind the franchise are working on Drakengard 3. For this reason you can expect many of the Drakengard’s trademark features to appear in this game like controversial story themes, unique characters and setting and more.
Drakengard 3 combat system will be more engaging than ever, thanks to the weapon switching system, which allows players to switch weapons on the fly and perform really nice combos. The different weapon types also add depth into the action battle system
Drakengard 3 will launch in Japan on December 19th. Even though Square Enix has yet to confirm a Western release, the Japanese company has recently registered some domains related to the series in North America.
