Final Fantasy VII Now Available On Steam

The rumors regarding Final Fantasy VII release on Steam proved to be true, in the end. From today, gamers all over the world will be able to buy Square Enix Japanese role-playing game from the online store.

Final Fantasy VII on Steam is the same version of the game released some time ago on the Square Enix online store, featuring some small tweaks and optimizations as well as cloud support and character booster options. This version of Final Fantasy VII also comes with 36 achievements: some are earned by simply playing through the game while others are obtained by doing some specific optional tasks, like defeating the dreaded Ruby Weapon optional boss.

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most successful entries of the series and the game which made the series widely known even outside Japan. Final Fantasy VII also received multiple sequels released on Ps2, Psp and Japanese mobile devices as well as a CG movie sequel called Advent Children. Cloud Strife is, still today, one of the most famous characters created for the series.

Final Fantasy VII is also available for purchase on PSN for Ps3, PSP and PsVita. The game was originally released in 1997 on the first Playstation console.
