When fans found out that the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series would be shifted from Rocksteady Studios to WB Games Montreal, they were a bit upset, to say the least. Batman: Arkham Origins is set to be released this fall and will be handled by WB Games Montreal, whom fans are not as familiar with, especially after Rocksteady developed the first two games in the series; Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. With Arkham City the series took a turn for the open world type of game, which kept things fresh, but many are doubting that Arkham Origins will have the same appeal that the first two games had, due to the shift in developers.
Creative Director Eric Holmes spoke with GameSpot about Batman: Arkham Origins and explained that the game will have a great story, one that fans will love, and that he understands their apprehensions. He feels that as soon as they get their hands on the title that they will fall in love with it just like the older games and that they will feel at home with the gameplay. I guess that we will have to wait and see on Batman: Arkham Origins, as it might be tough to live up to the previous games.
