The Game Developer’s Conference has only been going on for only a day now, and yet Sony has unveiled a number of new games coming to the PS4. The two independent games that will be coming to the next gen system will be, Blacklight: Retribution and Primal Carnage: Genesis.
Blacklight: Retribution is a free-to-play PC game that has become pretty popular since it’s original release back in April of last year, Zombie Studios has confirmed that the PS4 version will also be free-to-play as well. According to Joystiq, this will be the first Pub Fund game for the new system, and it most likely won’t be the last.
The second game that was announced is Primal Carnage: Genesis, the original game was popular as well, and the new game will be a much bigger improvement over the first game. The game will be powered by the Unreal Engine 4 engine, and unlike the first game, the game will be a single player experience. The first game was a team based shooter, but the new game will be taking a much different approach. The story will be told through episodic releases, similar to the Walking Dead game. GDC started off with a bang, but stay tuned for more news down the road.
