More arcade classics will be coming on Ps3 and Xbox 360 in the near future together with the ports of some of Capcom’s best 80s arcade hits, getting released through the Arcade Cabinet app. The Japanese publisher has confirmed today that Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara and Dungeons and Dragons: Tower Of Doom will be released as digital downloads on Ps3 and Xbox 360 in the near future.
Older gamers will surely remember these two games: they’re really good belt action Role Playing Games, combining the RPG genre features like characters’ growth with side scrolling beat’em up action.
Another similar game will be released in the upcoming month, developed by George Kamitani and VanillaWare: Dragons Crown plays pretty much like these two games, adding an extensive multiplayer mode to the formula and some new features.
This shouldn’t really be a surprise, since George Kamitani actually worked on the two Dungeons and Dragons Capcom games: if you have been following Dragons Crown news, you know what to expect from these two ports.
It’s not the first time Capcom ports these two games to home consoles: a collection with both games was released on Sega Saturn a few years ago but it stayed in Japan. With the Ps3 and Xbox 360 release more gamers will be able to enjoy these two titles.
No release date has been given for both games: we’ll keep you updated on the matter.
