During last month, Nintendo announced during a Wii U Focused Nintendo Direct that the Japanese Company was going to be releasing HD versions of some of their best games released on Gamecube and Wii, starting with The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The game was originally released on Gamecube and it’s quite a unique title among the Zelda games: the cell shaded graphics are just great and thewhole boat exploration felt like something incredibly fresh. The game’s atmosphere was great as well, with great location and character design.
The Wind Waker HD will obviously receive some graphical improvements, which are bound to make the game look even more beautiful: Gamepad support will of course be implemented together with some gameplay tweaks that are yet to be revealed.
It’s not the first time that Nintendo releases updated Gamecube games: a few titles were available on Wii with motion control support among other things. These titles were sold at a lower price than usual and many expected that The Wind Waker HD would be sold with a lower price as well.
The game is currently listed on Amazon and there aren’t good nes regarding the price: the game is available for preorder for 59.99$ which is the regular price for new Wii U releases. Being an old game, this may end up having an impact on overall sales of the title. You can check out the listing here.
