Insomniac has a game coming out later this year called Fuse, but that hasn’t stopped the Ratchet & Clank developer from looking towards the future. The people over at NeoGAF have once again uncovered information about a company before said company had made an official announcement. This time the sleuths over at NeoGAF have found a new trademark registered by Insomniac Games called Sunset Overdrive.

The trademark Sunset Overdrive is resisted for ”computer game software, Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game.” And that is about the only official information we know about the trademark at this point. In all likelihood Sunset Overdrive will be at least the concept for a new Insomniac game.

Insomniac Games one of the few companies to ever do this actually commented on the trademark; and announced that as a company they do make trademarks regularly because they are an “idea factory”. However, that was the most they were willing to talk about the trademark at this time.

As for Fuse the next Insomniac game, I have been a little concerned about the game since the game design switch from Overstrike. To me the game has looked much more generic since the move to the more realistic graphics; hopefully the game will retain some of the great Insomniac formula but I do have my concerns since the game is being published by EA.
