The Final Fantasy series is over 25 years old this year: despite some high and lows, the series is still considered as THE Japanese Role Playing Series, with every new release getting really high sales on all markets worldwide. Square Enix has been celebrating this anniversary with some limited released: a limited box including all the games of the series spanning three Sony consoles has been released last year in Japan and another bundle is soon to be released in Asia.
The Final Fantasy Digital Collection will be officially released tomorrow as a limited product in Hong Kong for the Asian market, with only 2000 units available for sale: total price is a little above 150$. This Digital Collection includes codes to download every Final Fantasy Title available on PSN, from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy IX as a Ps1 Classic. The Ps1 entries of the series like Final Fantasy 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are also playable on Ps3. The collection also includes the recently released Final Fantasy 3 Psp port and the Final Fantasy 4 Complete Collection. It’s a lot of games and well worth the price.
Together with the download codes, the pack will include a special manual, a card with a special illustration created by Yoshitaka Amano and a Masterpieces music collection with songs from the first nine mainline Final Fantasy titles.
No news on a possible western release: the games are the Asian versions and may include the English language as well as Japanese but no details are currently confirmed.
