The inFAMOUS series will have the honor of having an entry of the series be a launch title for the new Ps4: inFAMOUS: Second Son looks like will be a great game and while the shown footage was short, it looked really promising.
More news on the project have come in today thanks to Michael McClain, QA Manager and Forum Moderator at Sucker Punch, answering some questions on the developers’ official forums: Second Son is an all original story set in the inFAMOUS universe with an all new lead. Cole McGrath’s story has ended in inFAMOUS 2 and he will not come back. The inFAMOUS universe is quite vast and there are a lot of stories to tell: for this reason a new story arc will begin with Second Sons.
The new main character Delsin will have a lot of new powers: Cole used thunder powers while Delsing will have special powers related to to Smoke. These new powers will only be the tip of the iceberg and he will be able to do much more in the final game.
As for why they have decided to set the new game in Seattle, Sucker Punch is actually based in the city and a lot of the team members know the city very well. Since the team wanted to finally have a real city included in the game, Seattle was the natural choice.
