While American and European players usually have to wait for quite some time to play entries of the Tales Of series, there’s a constant stream of releases in Japan, with so many spin offs of the series getting released on portable consoles and mobile devices. The next Tales Of games to get released this March in Japan is Tales Of Hearts R, remake of Tales Of Hearts, released on DS back in 2004.
The PsVita remake features full 3D graphics, extra characters, scenarios, dungeons, enemies and skills, together full voice overs for most of the game’s events. New details have emerged from Famitsu, regarding the new content and the exclusive preorder bonus, Tales Of Infinte Evolve.
For the first time in years, the Combo Command option will be available in a game of the series: the Combo Command is an accessory which allows in battle techniques to be used by inputting commands just like in a fighting game, allowing players to use more than the 8 techs which can be assigned to the regular button combinations. Thanks to this we can expect some crazy comboing during battles.
Some news have emerged regarding the special pre order bonus, Tales Of Infinite Evolve: the game is a 2D action role playing game where players will be able to use Shing and Kohak to defeat waves of monsters. The game uses the 2D sprites of the original game, together with some cameos from past Tales Of Games. Namco Bandai has confirmed that the PSN version will also include the pre order bonus, but only until the end of March.
Tales Of Hearts R will officially launch in Japan on March 7. No news on a possible western release are currently available.
