With Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut coming next month on Ps3, the series has been getting some time in the spotlight again: the game was originally released almost three years ago on Xbox 360 and apparently it’s still selling quite well on the console, so much that the Director’s Cut version won’t be coming since there’s no real need for it. Being the game so unique, an open world horror game almost making a satire of the horror genre, it’s a really good thing that we are getting some new content.

Hidetaka Suehiro, the creator of Deadly Premonition, has talked about the future of the series a post on the Official Playstation Blog: he states that he’s talking with the series co creator Kanazawa san about another game of the series. It probably won’t be a direct sequel but feature an entirely new storyline in an entirely different setting, probably rural Europe since Suehiro really loves the vibes of some places found in the Old Continent. So, the game may end up being more of a spin off, using the basic ideas of the first game to build something even more unique.

Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut will be launching this March on Ps3.
