PlanetSide 2 was released in November of 2012 and since then the Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter game that has embraced the free-to-play, or “freemium” business model has picked up a lot of steam with PC gamers. The wide open landscapes, the fortified bases and the idea of warring factions has led many gamers to become completely immersed in the realm of PlanetSide 2. So much so that MLG — Major League Gaming — has taken notice and has decided to partner up with Sony Online Entertainment to bring the best possible modes and gameplay experience into a PlanetSide 2 MLG set up.
Over the coming weeks SOE and MLG plan to hash out the details, such as gameplay features and settings which are optimal for MLG as well as a broadcast schedule. This comes right after another round of MLG-related news that League of Legends, Black Ops 2 for Xbox 360 and another title will be a part of the Winter Championship.
