We all know that there’s going to be a new Zelda game, as well as a Wind Waker HD remake. Nintendo also announced that there’s going to be new Yoshi game, created by the guys behind Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Now there’s news regarding a new Mario 3D game, as well as a new Mario Kart for the Wii U. The Nintendo Direct presentation started off a little slow, but it ended in an onslaught of game announcements. Even though we’ve come to expect these games from Nintendo, it’s exciting to see what they’re going to do with their aging franchises.
Nintendo gave us a bit of good news, the new Mario games will be playable at E3 2013. This may point to a holiday release window, but there’s no guarantee. A new Mario 3D game sounds really enticing to me, Mario 64 ranks in my top 10 overall favorite games of all time. Games like Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Sunshine were just as special, and I can’t wait to see the new setting for the 3D world. As far as the new Mario Kart, I am definitely interested in it. The last Mario Kart games weren’t as good as the originals, and hopefully the Wii U game will get the series back to it’s roots.
