The small finnish indie team Almost Human will probably feel happy that a game like Legend Of Grimrock is enjoying some great sales and not only from an economic point of view: the game is a really well done title and older players surely have loved the game for those 80s – 90s vibes the game offers.
Legend Of Grimrock is a 3D, first person dungeon crawler, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers like Eye Of The Beholder and Ultima Underworld. Gameplay wise the game offers a combination of exploration and puzzle solving, together with battles. Fighting monsters will be essential in leveling up, improving skills and learning new and more powerful spells. This is classic role playing game at its best folks: the game has also offers an old school mode which removes the in game maps, another nods to classic dungeon crawler.
With over 600.000 copies of the game sold since April 2012, Almost Human entertainment has announced that the game’s success has secured the future of the studio: the team has teased on its official blog that a new project is already in the works and judging by the two screens, it looks like Legend Of Grimrock will be getting a sequel.
Congratulations for the team, hoping that they will be able to bring more old school goodness!
