Sometimes I forget that Ni No Kuni is actually going to happen and is due out next week in the United States for PlayStation 3, because, well, it is almost too good to be true. I, like a lot of other gamers, grew up playing Japanese RPGs and have kind of felt like the market has run a bit dry over the past few years. While there have still been some fine Japanese RPGs coming out, none seem to have that magic and charm that once defined the genre and a lot of it just feels like a sad emulation of a once great genre that was beloved by many.
Ni No Kuni looks to return to that level of charm, quality and pure magic with the Level-5 collaboration with Japanese animation studio, Studio Ghibli. Namco Bandai, the international publisher of the title just released this video of them unboxing Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch special Wizard’s Edition. It includes some pretty awesome stuff, from some exclusive DLC to a book a CD and some other pack-ins. Don’t just take my word for it, check out this video and see for yourself.
