Dead Space is arguably the last survival horror series out there, and luckily it’s also one of the best. Though Isaac Clarke usually takes on hordes of horrific alien creatures on his own, it looks like the next installment in the franchise will feature cooperative gameplay.
Where most games that throw in Co-op feature the same cutscenes, Dead Space 3 will change the story ever so slightly to accommodate having a second player. You will see the second player in cutscenes as an actual part of the story, instead of just tossing a new character into the game in an odd way. Players will also be able to work together to solve puzzles, as well as heal each other and feed each other ammo.
So who is this mysterious second player? Unfortunately, no details have been given about the characters involvement in the story or their relation to Isaac Clarke. The only details known are that he is a scarred man with his own RIG, so it’s clear that he has gone through his own insane experience.
We’re sure to see more of Dead Space 3 at E3, so check Explosion for more update.
