Together with the confirmation of a multiplayer mode being included in the reboot of the Tom Raider series, developed by Crystal Dynamics and scheduled for a 2013 release, not much more details were provided: everything would have been detailed by the next issue of the Official Xbox Magazine. A post on the official Tomb Raider forums has given the details contained in the magazine.

Two modes are confirmed: Team Deathmatch will make players fight against scavengers inside maps full of spikes and traps, destroyable objects and weapons; the match is won once one of the teams wins 2 games out of three.

The second confirmed mode is Rescue mode, where a certain amounts of med kits must be delivered to different locations around the map while the scavengers team must kill a certain numbers of players to win.

These aren’t the only offered modes: there should be a third mode called Cry for Help, with heavy emphasis on exploration but no more details have been provided.

Other information on the multiplayer mode in Tomb Raider include the ability to choose from a diverse rooster of characters, experience obtained can be used to power up characters, the presence of quick time events and the absence of Lara as a playable character in multiplayer mode.
