Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is due out on February 19th here in the US (22nd in Europe and 21st in Japan), which is two days before Japan will get it, but that doesn’t mean that the United States will get all of the luck when it comes to Metal Gear stuff. The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo is something like the holy grail for Metal Gear fans right now and it was just released in Japan, but no signs of it in the West. The demo right now is Japanese-only and it is actually region-locked, so those of you crafty enough to have a Japanese PSN account and have had luck grabbing games in the past, you’ll have no such luck with the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo.
That doesn’t mean that all hope is lost, though, as Konami has confirmed that fans in the West can expect the demo sometime in “early 2013,” and while that isn’t too specific, it at least gives hope to fans. With the game due out in February, that would mean that the demo would have to be released sometime within January, logically, but then again, logic has not always been a part of the gaming industry.
