Straight from the finger tips of the Capcom press team!

“Capcom is blowing off the doors of New York Comic-Con 2012 with all the monsters, demons, mechanical rigs and Street Fighters that it can muster.  Kicking things off, is an all-new producer walk-through video from Lost Planet 3 as well as screenshots and a new trailer from the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate…”

The first important thing to take out of this quote is that it ended with an ellipses, which of course means that there is indeed a greater subtext on what they said. So we might be in luck this time around. Perhaps we are going to see a trailer for Monster Hunter 3 ultimate and alongside it we may get a concrete release date for the game and its 3DS companion. There has been a great deal of excitment amongst the dedicated Lost Planet fan base in regards to the upcoming Lost Plant 3. Visually the game is stunning and with the “all new producer walk through video” perhaps we can get some information on what is happening in the game and if there is any connection to the somewhat complicated story of the previous instalment in the series.

And of course, Capcom is still milking the bones of the Street Fighter cash cow, although what exactly they are announcing at the moment is anyone’s guess. But I imagine it will either be another Turbo remake, an anniversary edition of some form, or another cross over title. And if it is in fact another new entry into the series, well then surely it’s just everything we’ve seen before but with a new coat of paint.
