The Mystery Of Stonehenge Just Got A Little Bigger

As if the mystery of the purpose and origins of Stonehenge in Southwest England wasn’t big enough, new discoveries only added to the confusion.

Recently archaeologists discovered a giant structure less than 2 miles from Stonehenge.

It is made from over a hundred stones with room for a hundred more, each 15 feet tall and 6 feet wide,  forming a C-shape that stretches for a mile. All of it was 3 feet underground, discovered by a random sweep with a ground radar.

There have been many discoveries of circular structures like Stonehenge all over the region, but never on this scale.

Also, this new structure is believed to predate the Stonehenge. See the whole story.

Here’s to the start of the new chapter in the story of Stonehenge.
