<p>Do you like cats?</p>
<p>Honestly, I am more of a dog person&#8230;but this video showed me that cats can be protective too. Dogs are amazing pets and they can be very friendly, but aggressive dogs are very frightening. I read a short article about <a href="https://karmapets.org/blogs/news/what-is-aggression-reactivity-vs-aggression" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://karmapets.org/blogs/news/what-is-aggression-reactivity-vs-aggression&;source=gmail&;ust=1610794766975000&;usg=AFQjCNG4o5HD4F-owxSFdIvS6eIIPjX_KA">reactivity and aggression in dogs</a> on KarmaPets that can be helpful dog owners such as the owner of the dog that attacked the kid.</p>

<p>While riding his bike, a 4-year-old boy from Bakersfield, was attacked by a dog this Tuesday.</p>

<p>Fortunately, his pet (the cat) quickly came to the rescue and saved him from a mad dog.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;My cat defends my son during a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage. Thankfully, my son is fine!&#8221;</em> says Roger Triantafilo, the boy&#8217;s father.</p>
<p>The boy&#8217;s mother, Erica Triantafilo, told NBC affiliate KGET that she was outside at the time and when she tried to chase the dog further away, it bit her, too.</p>
<p>The toddler received 10 stitches. He is now home recovering.</p>
