Battlefield 6 now features maps set in Las Vegas and Area 51, according to a report by KLAS 8 News Now on the game’s release. The local CBS affiliate highlighted these real-world locations, which are part of its coverage area.
The report doesn’t mention map sizes, modes, or a release timeline. Explosion will provide updates once EA or the developers share official information.
This map reveal comes as Battlefield 6 is still trying to gain traction a year after its launch. The game hit Xbox Game Pass in October 2026, just as EA began promoting a Game of the Year Edition. Earlier reports pointed out that this Game Pass debut occurred before the launch of the competing Call of Duty: MW4.
However, there’s a catch to the GOTY pitch. According to the Game of the Year tracking site mentioned by Push Square, Battlefield 6 only snagged one GOTY award from over 700 outlets. That’s a pretty slim record for a GOTY-branded edition.
Still, fresh maps could mean more to players than the award count. Maps featuring well-known locations give EA marketing advantages beyond the usual war-torn environments. The Area 51 setting, in particular, taps into a popular piece of gaming culture.
| New maps reported | Las Vegas, Area 51 |
| GOTY awards won (per tracking site) | 1 |
| Outlets tracked | Just over 700 |
| Xbox Game Pass arrival | October 2026 |
Community Pulse: We’re not including player sentiment in this article. The Steam listing linked to our data refers to a different title, a 1991 release from another developer with 423 current players. Reviews and scores from that page don’t reflect Battlefield 6, so Explosion is skipping them to avoid misattributions.
