1 min

Regardless of massive awareness about mental health across the globe, still, it is a highly stigmatized issue. Especially when it comes to youth mental health, society needs to go the extra mile to ensure young people are happy and motivated about their goals. Recent research revealed, around 40% of youngsters between the age group of 15 to 19 are at a greater risk of suffering from a mental health issue. Be it the progress report of the year or the weekly sports gala; young people are frustrated all the time. Here are a few ways, youth can work on their mental health:

1. School Programs

There are several school programs that are directed towards correcting the mental health of young people. This means, if a young boy/girl is experiencing issues about workload, it is imperative for them to register with one of the school programs to learn about management skills.

2. Daily Exercise

Several studies have proven, exercise is great for mental and physical health. A 45 minutes workout in the gym or an early morning walk of 30 minutes can provide relaxation to the mind and plant a smile on one’s face easily. Youngsters who exercise frequently have higher chances of living a long life.

3. Online Support

Since mental health is still debated, a lot of young people feel uncomfortable talking about it in public. Thanks to several YouTube tutorials and online channels, it is easy for young people to vocalize their issues online instead of having difficulty in articulating to their friends.

4. Eating Healthy

Eating healthy has always held immense importance for the human body. Unfortunately, around 18% of the global youth population is obese, which means they’re suffering from different kinds of health conditions. Eating the right food at the right time can easily help in keeping fit and active for a long time.
