When it comes to trade shows, nobody likes going to a boring booth. But how can you make your booth pop when it comes to a trade show? Well, there are tricks to having both a successful trade show and a booth that naturally draws people in. Think Brand

Before you even begin to design your trade show display, think about your brand. Just like Nike is known for the “swoop” on their shoes and Amazon is known for the “smile,” you should have a brand and logo that is (or will be) instantly recognizable with your company. Your company needs to have its brand not only on banners but repeated all the way down to the swag you hand out. If your company has special colors, be sure that everything about the display has those colors present — right down to the clothing that your booth workers wear.

Going to a trade show where you have customers? Bring in the crowd! Let your contacts know you’re at a particular trade show and invite them to attend. Maybe offer special discounts to certain products for attending or give them the VIP treatment when they show up? Nothing looks worse than a trade show booth that nobody visits — so get a jump ahead of your competition and bring your own! Everyone knows a crowd forms where there’s a crowd because people want to see what’s going on. So, BYOC (Bring Your Own Crowd). And no, it’s not cheating.

Think Outside the Box

Most trade show displays are boring because they have a couple of computer screens and maybe a person chatting about the product. Try livening your booth up with interactive displays that are fun, educational, and get the clients and customers involved. How about games? Or maybe Virtual Reality? Or something else where you can make it fun to pick up cool swag from you? The more you can entertain your audience, the more the brand and your company’s message will come through. They’ll remember you long after the trade show is done.

Think Color

Think about the last trade show you’ve been to. Chances are the displays were corporate blue, gray, or white. How boring is that? Make a bold statement and go with bright colors that will naturally stand out from the other trade show displays. In other words, rock their eyes with color. When you’re different and stand out, it has a tendency to draw people in.
