It was the first half of the nineteenth century when people made the church practices important and the church dresses were defined. It was half of the nineteenth century when in England, northern Europe and American faced the industrial revolution and the middle class was introduced. Cleanliness and solemnity were made part of religion, especially in the Sabbath days. This dressing revolution came from the Victorian culture from the communities relying on worshiping.

So, in this article, we will cover up the dressing style of poor and rich that how they afford to follow this culture.

DRESSING CULTURE OF POOR:

It was observed that nice clothes were only afforded by the wealthy or rich people. The proper fine clothing was far too much expensive that the poor people can’t afford it. So, for that, the poor did one that on work and other occasions they bought a normal cloth which can get they dirt and can be messy and for the proper occasions they buy the one dress that they wear everywhere. As the poor people, the major profession was farming so, it was said that they get dirtier than another person. And due to this fact, there was a major class difference between rich and poor and sometimes rich also don’t think that the poor were also human, and they must be treated equally. Even this awareness regarding religion gives many Christian a new way but it also increased the class difference between rich and poor.

DRESSING CULTURE OF RICH:

So, the rich are the nobles as assumed in the Christian culture. So, for going to the churches it was believed by the rich that they must be dressed super expensive. So, for that, they try to buy the most unique dresses and jewels to be in unique attire. The dressing style also tells the distinction of a person that at what designation that person is working or how much he/she is earning. Moreover, either it’s a wedding ceremony, Christmas or any other occasion the rich were believed to be beautifully dressed and this shows their nobility as well.

DRESSING CULTURE OF MIDDLE CLASS:

As soon as, in half of the nineteenth century, the middle class was introduced. These middle-class people used to wear decorative clothes and demonstrative accessories. People loved to wear demonstrative accessories, and this brought the pride in them as well. In the eighteenth century, the dresses become cheap and people can afford them as well as not all but few.

This clothing sense brought a new wave in the entire Europe America and other regions. The rich didn’t face any issue but the poor faced a lot due to less money they can’t afford expensive clothes and for that, they brought a remedy to keep two sets of new clothes which they wear alternatively while visiting the churches.
