Mobile Games Lack Depth?

It is no secret that tower defense games dominate both the Android and Apple app stores. A whole lot of these games are also free which automatically gives them a head start. The problem with this genre is that it is prone to lacking depth. Too many hardcore gamers dive deep into these marketplaces to find games that they could play consistently but it is unfortunately much too easy to come up empty-handed. Developers now try to make games that sell to a specific audience, because selling to a niche makes the money. But what about us I say! Do you know how hard it is to find a good turn-based strategy game on the marketplace?

Seriously, a good mobile Civilization game would be damn near magical. The way I see it is, if you are not playing a Kairosoft game then you are probably playing Angry Birds or Draw Something and that is just sad. All hope is not lost though! At the end of this short yet optimistic rant about the state of mobile gaming I might mention a few titles that may or may not tickle your fancy. With some time and effort I can personally promise you that with enough random searching one might find one or two games that will do the trick for awhile. But seriously wouldn’t Masters of Orion 2 for iPhone and Android feel amazing to the touch? So obviously I’m not going to leave you hanging.  Below are some games that should tie you fellow strategy-heads over until the next breakthough.   Actually the following aren’t all turn-based or even based on strategy but I’m pretty sure they have the capacity to keep you playing for hours on end.
