DuckTales Remastered is officially announced yesterday and nostalgic gamers have been quite pleased by the announcement: the game will be a remastered version of the 8bit platform game released many years ago on Nintendo NES, featuring Scrooge McDuck as he journeys through different stages to collect treasures and defeat bad guys.
More news regarding this remastered version have emerged this morning and unfortunately they’re not good news: Christian Svennson has confirmed on the Official Capcom Forums that the game won’t be coming on 3DS and PsVita. Apparently Capcom is only going to do a limited number of different versions and portable platforms are not in this time.
Pc gamers may still have a chance to get the game on their computer, said Svensson: he’s working on getting a PC version out, but he still can’t confirm it as of now.
Players who wished for the original version of the game to be included will also be disappointed: the game has received so many changes for this remastered version that switching on the fly between original and remaster would be too difficult.
DuckTales Remastered will be available this Summer on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. You can take a look at the reveal trailer here.
