PAX East is well under way and 343 Industries has unveiled new details about the upcoming Halo 4: Castle Map Pack coming in the near future. The team talked about the changes introduced by the DLC pack in a multiplayer focused panel yesterday, unveiling some new screenshots as well as talking about the already mentioned multiplayer changes for Halo 4.

The Castle Map Pack will bring Multi-Team game types with six teams of two players each, but details are scarce on the exact game types. We can expect more details as we approach the Castle Map Pack release date.

The Legendary Slayer play list will be introduced in late Spring or early Summer: a new competitive playlist featuring specifically tweaked weapons which will also include a mix of Team Throwdown and Infinity.

The Fiesta game type in Action Sack playlist will receive some tweaks in the near future, but details are scarce here as well.

The Castle Map Pack will be released on April 8 for 800 Microsoft Points: if you have bought the War Game Map Pass this DLC will be available for free. Not too long after this DLC pack gets released, all Halo 4 players will be able to download a new free multiplayer map for the game called Forge Island.

Halo 4 is currently available exclusively on Xbox 360.
