The Walking Dead: The Game, the adventure game developed by Telltale has received countless praise on the press and from players for being a good adaptation of the comic book series and an adventure game like we haven’t played in quite a long time. The game was released digitally over the course of 2012, with a retail version containing all the episodes released at the end of the year. Despite the digital version being pretty much bug free, the retail version of The Walking Dead has a lot of them, making the game almost unplayable.
In a post on the official forums of the game, an official representative of Telltale stated that most issues present themselves on Xbox 360 without HDD, the 4Gb ones and the only way to stop the issues is to buy a HDD. For all those who aren’t willing to buy an official Microsoft HDD, Telltale is offering the digital version of the game for free: being almost 3 GB big, players without storage may have some problems downloading the game but still, the possibility is there.
Another issue of the retail version of The Walking Dead will be solved with a patch already sent to Microsoft for approval: on some consoles the game always boots the first episode, no matter the choice. For players who can also connect to Xbox Live, staying connected to the service is enough to be able to play the game normally.
