Now that we’re finally into the new year, we can start giving a good long look to some of the first releases of 2013. With Dmc Devil May Cry coming in a few days, only 14 days left from release, more reviews are coming in, finally giving us a real taste of the game.
Dmc Devil May Cry is the latest entry in the action series Devil May Cry, released a few years after the previous entry, Devil May Cry 4. In an attempt to spice up the series’ formula, Capcom decided to reboot the series as a whole, working with Ninja Theory to develop the new adventure of the devil hunter Dante. With all the controversy surrounding design choices, the game seemed doomed to fail, but it looks like this will be quite a good game.
Yesterday we reported that Swedish magazine Level gave the game a 9/10 score, praising controls, combat, story and level design. Today more reviews are in; X360 Magazine awarded the game with a 9 out of 10 while GamesMaster a 89 out of 100. Both magazines praise the action, gameplay, story progression but sadly point out that a single feature was not done as well as it could have been: boss fights.
With the game looking quite good, hype is definitely on the rise. Dmc Devil May Cry will be released on Ps3 and Xbox 360 on January 15, with a Pc version coming on January 25
