<p>Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Titanfall 2 is in the works. Not only that, the franchise is set to go multi-platform for the sequel. The games will no longer be exclusive to just the Xbox One and Xbox 360. One of the internal discussions coming up next for Respawn Entertainment concerns whether or not the developer will pull the trigger on a single-player campaign. The first Titanfall lacked a single-player campaign. The main reason players arguably look at a first-person shooter such as Titanfall is probably for the game&#8217;s multiplayer component. I would like to see the single-player campaign happen for Titanfall 2&#8211;under certain conditions.</p>

<p>The single-player campaign should only happen if Respawn Entertainment internally comes up with a good idea for the campaign. If the resources merit a single-player campaign for the sequel, Respawn Entertainment should go ahead and pull the trigger. I definitely understand that a single-player or story mode was not feasible for the first game. At the time, Respawn was a much smaller company. The staff was smaller, and there were simply not enough resources; so it was not feasible to spend the extra time, money and labor to make a rushed, half-baked single-player campaign. However, Titanfall was a big hit and massive success. Therefore, after creating a hit game, Respawn should be able to strengthen its infrastructure. Perhaps a single-player campaign or story mode is not so unrealistic for Titanfall 2. If the game can go multi-platform for Titanfall 2, Respawn Entertainment should be able to seriously consider a new story mode.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Respawn should not be forced to make a single-player mode if they do not want to. Surely, Electronic Arts could be giving Respawn Entertainment internal pressure to produce a single-player campaign. A single-player campaign should not happen as a result of corporate pressure from the publisher. Unrealistic deadlines and demands from publishers have hurt a lot of major triple-A releases in recent years. Respawn Entertainment should maintain levels of creative control for the franchise. The story mode should not happen as a result of internal corporate pressure.</p>
<p>There were many mechanics and features in Titanfall, but the multiplayer mode is not really the best format for these ideas. Titanfall possesses a strong sense of freedom of movement. Players can jump off walls and pull off some fun parkour moves. However, the environments and maps for the game in the multiplayer gameplay does not really encourage players to utilize these features. A single-player mode could come up with a greater variety of environments that would encourage players to be inventive with their combat.</p>

<p>Titanfall 2 is currently in the works. The game is expected to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.</p>
