<p>During the inaugural 2014 PlayStation Experience, Rocksteady Studios was nice enough to debut two new trailers for Batman Arkham Knight, the highly anticipated final game in the developer&#8217;s Batman: Arkham Trilogy. One of the new trailers highlighted the third part in the Ace Chemicals Infiltration video series. The other new trailer showcased new footage for the PlayStation 4 exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare Pack. As 2014 comes to a close, and the release date of the game comes ever closer, it becomes more and more exciting to see more footage revealed for Arkham Knight, which is my most anticipated game release of 2015.</p>

<p>First, I want to break down the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack trailer. In Batman: Arkham Asylum, there were stages where Batman was transported to a Scarecrow World brought on by hallucinations induced into his head after he was injected by Scarecrow&#8217;s fear toxin. These enjoyable stages had a fun, old-school platform game style and added an element of 2D platforming gaming to Arkham Asylum. Judging by the new trailer, the new Scarecrow Nightmare Pack will have a similar style to these stages. Case in point: The background is a nightmarish, hallucinated vision of Gotham City. A giant version of Scarecrow is rampaging through the city. This is very similar to the visions from the Scarecrow World in Arkham Asylum. However, there could be a few new twists.</p>
<p>It looks like the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack will allow for gameplay with the Batmobile. Since the Riddler experiences challenges involving the Batmobile, I would venture to guess that the Scarecrow map will have nightmarish twists on the Batmobile missions. Perhaps, similar maps or areas will be re-skinned to look like a twisted, hallucinogenic version of Gotham City. The Scarecrow Nightmare Pack has been announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive feature. However, it would not surprise me if the Nightmare Pack only turns out to be a timed exclusive.</p>
<p>Lastly, the new Ace Chemicals Infiltration part three video was revealed. The second video in the series was mostly just a short clip of the Batmobile in action. The new video was considerably longer and showed more footage of Batman in combat. There was a fight sequence showcasing a new katana-wielding martial artist enemy type. It would not surprise me if this is a tweaked version of the martial artists and ninjas from WB Montreal&#8217;s Batman: Arkham Origins. Would it be so surprising if the companies shared some assets? That is unless Rocksteady built a new martial artist enemy type from scratch. Batman rescues another Ace Chemicals worker. He reveals that Scarecrow has secluded himself in the central mixing chamber to release his new toxin. Batman moves to help the worker out of the facility, but the Arkham Knight arrives in his attack chopper. Batman loads up the innocent worker in the trunk of the Batmobile. Then, a duel ensues between the Batmobile and the Arkham Knight&#8217;s chopper. Some of the footage was re-purposed from the hands-off demo at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo.</p>

<p>The game and visuals look really excellent so far. Hopefully, a playable demo for the game will come out at some point. Batman Arkham Knight hits the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on June 2, 2015.</p>
