<p>At the Electronic Entertainment Expo this week,Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment were showing off the Invasion DLC for Titanfall, as well as one of the new gameplay modes &#8220;Marked for Death.&#8221; In Marked for Death, one team member on each opposing side is painted a visible target, so you have to track them down and compromise the &#8220;marked&#8221; man. If you recall the &#8220;Marked Man&#8221; Power Play segment in the Uncharted multiplayer, this is a very similar concept.</p>
<p>While I&#8217;m still not sure how I feel about game companies making you pay full price for a multiplayer, online-only game, Titanfall does have has some great, fun gameplay. Using the Titans is awesome, and the controls are very smooth. It&#8217;s a multiplayer that&#8217;s a lot more fun to play than say, Call of Duty, which can have a pretty insane difficulty level for multiplayer&#8211;unless you are a pretty exceptional player. And, there is nothing quite like the mecha experience of wrecking throughout the gameplay maps in your Titan.</p>
<p>It had been a while since I last played Titanfall. The gameplay demo at E3 came from Titanfall&#8217;s first downloadable content release, Expedition. Both times I played through the Expedition demo were on the Swampland map which is a fun, visually appealing environment with all sorts of flora and fauna. Marked for Death is a fun gameplay mode since it gives you a much better idea where the enemy is situated; but you still have to be careful with your push forward against the enemy. You might push forth with an attack, but the marked enemy might already be loaded up in his Titan, while yours is still under maintenance. Having a good strategy to coordinate your attacks against your enemy and the marked soldier is key for this gameplay mode.</p>

<p>This version of Expedition also offers a great deal customization options for both your pilot and Titan loadouts. I had a lot of fun with the shotgun for the primary weapon and the grenade launcher for the anti-Titan weapon. The grenade launcher weapon actually helped me take down more than one Titan while I was on foot, and it was a very satisfying experience. My favorite ability for the pilot loadout was the cloak ability, which gives you a type of Predator-like camouflage to sneak up on your enemies. My favorite Titan ability is still the vortex shield. In addition, Some new weapons and customizations appear to be available for the Titans. One new skill I picked up that I had not seen when I initially played the game was the ability to literally jump up on and sabotage a Titan. This is almost as much fun as ripping a pilot out of the Titan cockpit.</p>
<p>The epilogue section of the Swampland map actually comes off a little more challenging than in the more urban city-style maps. The EVAC area in the Swampland map appears in much more exposed areas. The new customization options and Marked for Death Mode are packed with Titanfall&#8217;s June title update, which is available now.</p>
